Animating Worlds in 4D: Ages 13-14
About this class
Course Description Step into the realm of animation and bring your own imaginary worlds and characters to life through the art of stop motion film. Start by developing a short story, focusing on mood, narrative, and emotion. Learn how to convey your story using color and shape, then craft and paint detailed backdrops and sculpt characters from clay for your animation. Throughout the camp, you’ll master the stop motion process from start to finish, culminating in your very own animated short film. By the end of the week, you’ll have a unique film to showcase and share with others. IMPORTANT: $40 Materials Kit: A $40 materials fee is included in the camp tuition. All students enrolled in Summer Youth Camps must submit the following packet of Summer Youth Camp Child Pickup Authorization prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this. Note(s): Full day camps include lunch supervision and outside activities between 12:15pm - 12:45pm daily. You will need to upload a photo and insurance card in order to register for youth courses.
