Interior Design Studio I
About this class
Course Description Imagine an ideal interior space and learn how to design it. In this course, students work with architectural floor plans, provided by the instructor, to create their own space plans, color palettes, and interior themes for an imagined celebrity owned restaurant. Students learn how to select, document selections and show furniture, choose interior detail materials, and surface finishes. Students create a presentation color board for client review – visualizing the final space. Instruction covers one- and two-point perspective, and treatment with actual materials such as fabrics, tile, wood, brick, and granite. Note(s): Design Studio I, II, and III run concurrently with student cohorts working on unique course content under the guidance of the instructor. Prerequisites Specific coursework required for Certificate Students. All other students should have equivalent experience.
