About this class
Course Description Just like architects, interior designers must understand the architectural scale and know how to accurately draft floor plans, elevations, and details—whether it’s an office space or residence. This course is an introduction to the drafting methods and techniques used in interior design. Students learn to use the basic tools and procedures of drafting to develop effective interior design plans. Classes cover tools and applications, architectural measurement and scale, dimensioning methods, and development of legends. Students learn how to incorporate design ideas into a practical plan format to fully realize an interior concept.
